I met the Oddo's through a mutual friend. They were interested in demolishing their existing Dining Room and replacing it with a more suitable layout they saw at some recently released models near their home, as well as expanding their Master Bathroom. The main problem was that their house was constructed on a pre-tensioned/pre-stressed (PT) concrete slab which is a notoriously difficult obstacle to work around due to the highly volatile steel tendons located in the slab making any alterations to the foundation almost impossible and dangerous if done without experience and caution. I considered this a challenge worth challenging. I ended up resolving the dilemma by contacting the concrete contractor who originally installed the foundation and in the process dispelled the myth that PT slabs are completely un-workable.  The expansion of both the Dining Room and Master Bathroom was completed without complication.
